Olive M. Davis, age 98, formerly of South Haven died Friday, February 10, 2006 at the Annandale Care Center. She considered the Care Center her home the past six years and was very happy there. Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful people there who made her life pleasant. Memorials are preferred to the Annandale Care Center.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2006 at Zion United Methodist Church, South Haven with Rev. Heather E. Klason officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services at the Church.

Olive Margaret Davis was born March 4, 1907 at Ashkum, IL to William and Minnie (Ryan) Peters. She married Walter Davis May 9, 1933 and he preceded her in death on February 12, 1967. Olive lived in South Haven from 1933-1991 and was a homemaker. She served as Clerk of the South Haven School Board for 14 years and worked in the South Haven Post Office for 18 years, the last 7 years as Postmaster. She was a member of South Haven VFW Post #7332 Auxiliary, National Association of Postmasters, Zion United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women; she also worked with the youth of the Church.

She is survived by children, Judy Donegan of Milwaukee, WI, Charles Davis & his wife, Lonnie of South Haven; sister, Yvonne Hoberman & her husband, Wilbert of Storm Lake, IA; sisters in law, Doris Foreman of Watkins, Vandora Davis of Annandale; grandson, Kirby Spangler of Palmer, AK; step granddaughter, Katie (Doug) Serbus of Kingston; and step great grandson, Luke Serbus. She was preceded in death by her husband; infant daughter, Betty; brothers, Henry, Chester, & Herbert; and 2 sisters, Irene Erickson & Mary Burke.

Dean Cheney and Jamie Miller will provide the music for the service with Esther Marks singing `How Great thou Art` and `Amazing Grace`. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
