Norah E. Poepping, age 62, of Annandale, died Thursday, March 3, 2022, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Deacon Ron Freeman officiating. A reception will follow at Southbrook Golf Course. Memorials are preferred to Guardian Angels Hospice.

Norah Elizabeth Freiberg was born October 2, 1959, in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Awalt and Theresa (McAlpine) Freiberg. Norah grew up in Annandale with her 13 siblings. She attended Annandale High School, graduating in 1978. Norah owned her own hair salon for a number of years, before deciding to operate a day care out of her home to allow her to spend more time as a mom. She went back to school to obtain her RN degree, and worked for the St. Cloud Hospital, REM Home Health, and Guardian Angels Hospice. On August 24, 1990, Norah was united in marriage to Paul Poepping in Buffalo. Together, they made their home in Annandale. Norah loved to be outdoors camping, gardening, or simply sitting around a fire. She also enjoyed cooking and getting lost in a good book. Above all, Norah cherished her time with her family.

Norah is survived by her husband, Paul of Annandale; children, Jeff Carlson of Haleiwa, HI, Brad (Kristine) Carlson of Anchorage, AK, Steven (Samaria) Poepping of Annandale, and David (Lillian) Poepping of Bloomington; grandchildren, Andrew, Devin, Aiden, Sebastian, Christian, Azreayela, Emmanuel, and Micah; step-grandchild, Raymond; siblings, Walter (Debra) Freiberg of Queen Creek, AZ, Sheila Carlson of Annandale, Pat (Denise) Freiberg of Annandale, Mike (Rosie) Freiberg of Moose Lake, Lee Freiberg (Brian Dorsher) of Annandale, Doris (John) Kroll of Monticello, Alan Freiberg of Jessie, ND, and Adam (Lisa) Freiberg of Buffalo; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Awalt and Theresa Freiberg; and siblings, Richard and Milo Freiberg, Dorothy Muller, Mary Bouchard, and Patty Saksa.
