Nathalie A. Twardy, age 72, of Maple Lake died Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Park View Care Center in Buffalo after a long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.
Graveside services will be held 11:15 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery; assembly area 5. Fr. John Meyer will officiate at the graveside. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake.
Nathalie Anne Twardy was born on August 2, 1940 in Duluth to Earl and Myrtle (Keenan) Baer. She graduated from North St. Paul High School and went on to receive a B.A. degree from Metropolitan State University. On November 24, 1972, Nathalie was united in marriage to Robert Twardy in St. Paul. Together, they lived in Maple Grove for 19 years and Clemmons, NC for 5 years before retiring in Maple Lake. Nat worked as an accountant for Target Corp and Sara Lee Corp.
She is survived by her husband Robert of Maple Lake; step son John & Michelle Twardy of Monticello; step daughter Julie & Bill Miles of Andover; four grandchildren Nicole Balthazor, Nick Solberg, Emily Twardy and Samantha Twardy; two great grandchildren Mary and Morgan Balthazor; and sister in law Cookie Baer of Salem, OR. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Jay Baer.
