Myrtle A. Bailey, age 87, of Annandale, died Saturday, May 10, 2025, at her home under the love and care of her family and hospice. Myrtle was a loving mother and grandmother, a devoted friend, and a cherished member of her community.

Memorial Services will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2025, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Culynn Curtis will officiate. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural French Lake.

Myrtle Ardis Lantto was born at home on the family farm in French Lake Township, Minnesota, to Elmer and Ida (Hillstrom) Lantto on October 15, 1937. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in French Lake and graduated from Annandale High School.

Myrtle worked for over ten years as a sales associate at JC Penney's and dedicated over twenty years to Buffalo Dry Cleaners. She was a longtime member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in French Lake. She resided in the Annandale and French Lake area with her life companion, Floyd Johnson, for 34 years, before his death in 2016.

Myrtle loved gardening, bird watching, antiquing, and talking over a cup of coffee, no matter the time of day. She loved going on trips, whether it be going out to eat or shop, traveling to Bismarck, ND, Boston, MA, or Oahu, HI. Cooking was another delight that brought her joy, a testament to her vibrant personality and love for life's simple pleasures.

Myrtle's family meant everything to her, and she devoted her life to creating a legacy of love, resilience, and togetherness.

She is survived by her children, Cindy (Ken) Steckler of Bismarck, ND, David (Danne) Miller of Buffalo, Linda (Roger) Marschel of Otsego, Karen (Bob) Zagorski of Albertville, Heather Sanders (Doug Barrett) of Brooklyn Park, Tammy Johnson of Brainerd, Julie (Kelly) Danelke of South Haven, and Rob (Bobbie) Johnson of Annandale; grandchildren, Josh, Boomer, Nicole, Cody, Zach, Shauni, Caitlin, Kristin, Candice, Ryan, Haley, Abby, Nick, Becca, Garrett, Brian, Laura, and Shelley; great-grandchildren, Maelynn, Vidalia, Camden, Amelia, Lilah, Teagan, Morgan, Mason, Mya, Ethan, Logan, Grace, Lilian, Willow, Eli, Cash, Bode, Gilbert, Albert, Eden, Harrison, Vayda, Raina, Ellie, Eva, Peytyn, and Jordan; siblings, Agnes Gunnerson of French Lake, Alice Weese of Buffalo, Jimmy (Janet) Lantto of Annandale, and John Lantto; and many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her life companion, Floyd Johnson; parents, Elmer and Ida Lantto; and daughter, Anne Schultz.

Brian Steckler, Ryan Marschel, Nick Barrett, Garrett Bullert, and Zach Johnson will serve as urn bearers. Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Annandale.
