Myron E. Dahnke, age 81, of Kimball died Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Heritage House of Kimball.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. with Funeral Services held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2008 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball. Burial will follow in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, Fair Haven.
Myron Edward Dahnke was born January 11, 1927 in Fair Haven Township, Stearns County to Edward and Clara (Brunko) Dahnke. He graduated from Kimball High School in 1945 and then served in the U.S. Army at the end of WW II. He married Judy Anderson on August 18, 1962 and they later were divorced. For over 40 years Myron worked as a painter for Franklin Manufacturing in St. Cloud. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and following the Minnesota Twins.
He is survived by children, Chris of Bend, OR, Emily (Bob) Larson of South Haven, Roy of New Glarus, WI, Jesse (Kim) of Colorado Springs, CO, Jared (Tanya) of St. Cloud; sisters, Fern Foreman of Kimball, Joyce Kotzer of South Haven; long time friend, Marion Daniels of St. Cloud; 8 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter. His son, Scott preceded him in death.
The pallbearers will be Roy, Jesse, Chris & Jared Dahnke, and Walter & Larry Looman. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
