Minnie M. Rumsey, age 99, of 71249 335th Street, Kimball died Sunday, January 22, 2006 at Hilltop Care Center, Watkins.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at Lake Union Covenant Church, 74246 CSAH 19, South Haven with Rev. Mike McCain officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and one hour prior to services at the Church.
Minnie Margaret Rumsey was born April 24, 1906 in Kingston Township, Meeker County to Aloys and Amelia (Grotz) Ertl. She married Alvin B. Rumsey June 9, 1924 in Kimball and he preceded her in death on July 15, 1982. She was a homemaker and member of Lake Union Covenant Church, Covenant Women and Kingston Senior Citizens. Minnie was a former Sunday School Superintendent and Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed crocheting and attending Bible Study.
She is survived by children & their spouses, Frances & Walter Paulson of Parkers Prairie, Viola & Stanley Snow of Crystal, Eugene & Marleigh Rumsey of Kimball, Glendale Rumsey of Kimball, Eileen & Art Dedrick of Arlington, TX; daughter in law, Vernette Rumsey of Waite Park; sister, Irene Tuckenhagen of Waverly; 12 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren; and 4 step great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Gerald; one grandson; one brother; and 2 sisters.
The pallbearers will be Jeffrey, James, & Steven Rumsey, Bruce Paulson, Michael Snow, and Tom Notch. The music for the service will be provided by Sherry Bates, pianist and Crystal Rossman, soloist. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
