Obituary
Minnie L. Cheney, age 88, of Annandale died December 25, 2002 at the Annandale Care Center where she has been a resident the past 8 months.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2003 at the Annandale United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Garman officiating. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Memorials are preferred to the Annandale Library Fund.
Minnie L. Cheney was born August 4, 1914 at Tagus, ND to Gilbert and Marilla (Heaton) Glaim. She married Lester V. Cheney July 30, 1934 in Buffalo and she lived most of her life in Annandale. She was a homemaker providing comfort and care to her family and extended family members. Min was a loving grandmother, great grandmother, and a friend to all the kids that came to her door. She was a very creative person who enjoyed many hobbies and activities in her lifetime. She was a member of the Annandale United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Annandale Improvement Club, Book Review Club, and Lake Country Art's Group.
She is survived by her three children & their spouses, Diane & Robert Shoberg, Sandra & Jim Otto, Dean & Laura Cheney, all of Annandale; 6 grandchildren, Leah Funk & her husband, John, Evan Shoberg & his wife, Rhonda, Aaron Otto & his wife, Stacey, Jessica Magrum & her husband, James, Meggan and Logan Cheney; 6 great grandchildren, Aiden & Zoe Min Shoberg, Jaden Otto, Aaron Lueck, Connor and Jack Adam Magrum; sisters, brothers, & their spouses, Pearl McAlpine of Annandale, Wilbert & Muriel Glaim of Annandale, Eleanor Fair of Edina, George & Mary Jayne Glaim of Hermosa Beach, CA, Roger & Muriel Glaim of Aitkin; and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester on August 18, 1993; great grandson, Adam Otto; brothers, Eugene and Henry Glaim; and sisters, Jane Levitt and Stella Newby.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
