Mickey Lenzmeier, age 76, of Maine Prairie Township, died Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Assumption Home in Cold Spring.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Marty. Fr. Tony Oelrich and Fr. Richard Walz will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 6:30 p.m., Friday. Memorials are preferred to Holy Cross School.

Merrill Henry "Mickey" Lenzmeier was born November 12, 1930 to Edmund and Rose (Scheibel) Lenzmeier in Carver County. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1952 with a degree in Animal Husbandry. He served in the US Army from 1952-1956. Mickey married Carol Laudenbach in St. Augusta on September 1, 1958. They were dairy farmers in the Pearl Lake area until Mickey's retirement in 2006. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church where he was active in the Men's Society, Rec Club Board, School Board, and trustee of the Parish. He was also a member of Bremer Bank Board from 1974-2004 and the First District Association of Litchfield where he served as chairman for 14 years of his 24 years on the board. He also served on the Annandale and Fairhaven Creamery Boards. Mickey was passionate about his farming career and his hard work contributed to his success as a farmer, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Carol of Pearl Lake; children, Linda (Bob) Kunkel of Pearl Lake, Michael (Bonnie) of St. Cloud, Robert of Staples, Lois of St. Cloud, Mary (Greg) Mueller of Pearl Lake, Joseph (Coreen) of Crystal, David (Frankie) of Minneapolis and Louis of Plymouth; grandchildren, Justin, Hannah and Mitchell Kunkel, Andrew, Abigail, Alexander, Austin, Jacob, Grace, Sophia and Gabriella Lenzmeier; sisters, Renee (John) Paul of St. Cloud and Ann Ledford of Chicago, IL; and brother, Leigh (Alice) of St. Cloud. Mickey is preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, LuAnn on January 20, 1961; granddaughter, Jordan on June 25, 1993; and brother, Rodney.

Pallbearers will be, Michael, Robert, Joseph, David and Louis Lenzmeier, Robert Kunkel and Greg Mueller. Julene Faber-Andrusick will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
