Michael John DeMars, age 22, of Maple Lake died Tuesday, October 28, 2008 as a result of an automobile accident in Wright County at County Roads 7 & 35.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2008 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. Michael Izen officiating. Burial will follow at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Chatham Township, Wright County. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Michael John DeMars was born August 21, 1986 in Buffalo to Larry and Kathy (Lewandowski) DeMars. He was a 2005 graduate of Maple Lake High School and was in the second year of his electrical construction technology degree at St. Cloud Technical College. Michael was a member of the Minnesota Electrical Student Association and St. Timothy's Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, billiards, country music, and being around people; he was a person who enjoyed living his life to the fullest.

He is survived by his parents, Larry & Kathy of Maple Lake; sister, Kori (Dave) Johnson & their children Abbey & Adam of Delano; brothers, Ryan (Kristin) DeMars of Waverly, Aaron DeMars of Richfield; grandfather, Al Lewandowski of Northfield; and special friend, Lenora Churchill of Maple Lake. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Gerald DeMars, Florence DeMars, Jeanette Lewandowski and Theresa Lewandowski.

The pallbearers will be Alex Blizil, Kyle Reid, Thomas & Matthew DeMars and Derek & Brett Lindberg. Anne Marie Elsenpeter and Krista Elsenpeter Tarbox will provide the music for the service. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Maple Lake.
