Maynard R. Rossberg, age 66, of Maple Lake died Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 9, 2013 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake with Rev. Gary Bass officiating. Burial will be at a later date at the Hasty Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday, both at the funeral home.
Maynard Reynold Rossberg was born September 17, 1946 in Monticello to Alvin and Eleanor (Walberg) Rossberg. He grew up in Annandale, graduating from Annandale High School with the Class of 1964. He furthered his education at Anoka Technical College for small engine repair. Maynard served his country in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. On September 14, 1968, he was united in marriage to Barbara Schelinder at Faith Lutheran Church in Monticello. Maynard worked in construction for most of his life, mostly working in concrete and windows. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking & working with his hands and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Barb of Maple Lake; children Allen (Jude), Jill (Jamie) Dean and Tammy (fiance Tracy Evans) all of Monticello, and Lance "Buck" (special friend Kaylene St. Andrew) of Clearwater; brothers and sisters Alvin Jr., Richard (Jackie) of Monticello, Darlene Frazier of Becker, Clairion of Clearwater, Roger (friend Melody) of Maple Lake and Dennis of Black Duck; 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Eleanor; and brothers Kenny and Curtis.
Military Honors will be provided by the Minnesota National Guard Honor Guard, Maple Lake V.F.W. and the Maple Lake American Legion. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
