IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maverick John
Mackereth
April 10, 2025 – April 10, 2025
Maverick John Mackereth left us on April 10, 2025, the very day of his birth.
A private funeral service will be held at Kimball United Methodist Church in Kimball with burial following at the Kimball Cemetery.
Maverick was born at Abbott Northwestern Hospital on April 10, 2025, at 6:05 a.m. to Cody Mackereth and Heather Veldkamp. He weighed 350 grams and was 10 inches long. Although Maverick graced our world for only ten minutes, his arrival brought immense joy and love to his family, leaving a profound impact that will forever be cherished. Maverick blessed his parents with a single breath, the sound of his beating heart and the flutter of his tiny movements. He was embraced with boundless affection by his parents and sister.
Though Maverick's time with us was fleeting, his spirit will continue to live on in our hearts. We remember a life that, though short, was filled with love and promise.
Maverick is survived by his loving parents, Heather Veldkamp and Cody Mackereth of Eden Valley; sister, Candice Melchert; grandparents, Kevin and Rhonda Veldkamp of Paynesville and Bruce and Michelle Mackereth of Kimball; great-grandparents, Arnold and Cheryl Veldkamp of Hawick and Roger and Alice Luebke of Kimball; and many aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins. He was welcomed home in heaven by great-grandparents, great-aunts, and great-uncles.
The casket bearers will be Mike and Casie Jarl and Jarod and Cheyenne Veldkamp. Pastor Mark Schlasner will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Kimball.
