Mary A. Ashwill, age 86, of Kimball died Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Birchwood Hospice House, Hutchinson.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2009 at the Church of Christ, Kimball with Pastors Jon Albert and Steve Rowland officiating. Interment will be at the Kimball Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the Church.
Mary Annabelle Ashwill was born April 25, 1922 at Kimball to Bernhard and Martha (Duncan) Struck. She married Richard N. Ashwill on June 3, 1940 in Darwin and he preceded her in death on March 28, 1996. She lived most of her life at Kimball, living in California from 1968-1987. She was a homemaker and a member of the Kimball Church of Christ.
She is survived by her seven children & their spouses, Richard & Carmel of San Marcos, CA, Diana & Richard Shuneson of Oceanside, CA, Thomas & Sheri of Cokato, Larry & Renae of Hutchinson, James & Alice of Monticello, Dale of Cokato, Greg & Patti of Little Falls; sister, Dorothy (Henry) Ott of Watkins; brother, Leonard (Alpha) Struck of Zimmerman; 16 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter in law Sandy, granddaughters Kathleen Ashwill & Melanie Shuneson, 1 sister, and 2 brothers.
The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
