Marvis O. Aarseth, age 80, of 13217 Bayview Road, South Haven died Sunday, September 25, 2005 at the Buffalo Hospital.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2005 at St. John`s Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. DJ Lura officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services at the church.
Marvis Odean Aarseth was born March 18, 1925 in Nome, ND to Andrew and Olive (Wee) Aarseth. He married Ruth G. Baarstad on April 18, 1947 and she preceded him in death on October 11, 2003. He was a 35-year employee of ConAgra Foods in Minneapolis, retiring in 1987. He lived in Minneapolis prior to moving to Clearwater Lake in 1989. He was a member of St. John`s Lutheran Church and enjoyed fishing & feeding the birds.
He is survived by his son, Roger & his wife Phyllis of Minneapolis; two grandsons, Christopher & his wife Shelby of Maple Grove, Anthony of Shoreview; great granddaughter, Caitlin; sisters, Opal Severson of Valley City, ND, Ila Johnson of Billings, MT, Marie Hanneman of Billings, MT, and Hazel Nelson of Oaji, CA. His wife and brother Archie preceded him in death.
The pallbearers will be his two grandsons and the organist for the service will be Orma Lou Jacobsma. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
