Joe Adolph, age 57, of Watkins, formerly of Kimball, died Sunday, July 27, 2014.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2014 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Kimball with Fr. Thomas Olson as the Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:45-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Parish Prayers will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.
Marvin Joseph Adolph was born June 30, 1957 in St. Cloud to Marvin and Dorothy (Ackerman) Adolph. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Kimball. Joe graduated with the Class of 1975 from Kimball High School. On April 25, 1987, he was united in marriage to Benita Altepeter at St. Mary's Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta. Joe was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Watkins and a former member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Kimball. He loved to hunt, fish, snowmobile, ride ATV and play with the family dogs. Joe thought of his three children as his greatest accomplishment in life.
He is survived by his wife Benita of Watkins; children Amanda (Brandon) Schlecht, Alicia Adolph (fiancé Mike Puissegur) and Blaine Adoph, all of Minneapolis; father Marvin Adolph of South Haven; sisters Julie (Michael) Galloway of Phillips, WI, Vikki (Tim) Donnay of Outing and Sharon (Jeff) Reitmeier of Cold Spring. He is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Adolph; grandparents; brother Charles; and an infant brother.
Pallbearers will be Carla Sufka, Tim and Phillip Donnay, Heidi Thompson, Heather Madden, Kristen Alderink, Jeremy and Jacob Reitmeier, Valerie Erickson, Erika Peterson, Jared and Steve Altepeter, and Heather Thingvold. Frosty Schiefelbein and the St. Anne's Choir will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
