Mrs. Martha C. Barson, age 89, of Annandale died Saturday, July 23, 2005 at the Annandale Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2005 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Rev. Victor Valencia officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday and 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale. There will be a prayer service 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Martha Catherine Barson was born March 14, 1916 in Pierz to John and Catherine (Banack) Reding. She married Anton E. Barson May 29, 1940 in Darwin and he preceded her in death February 6, 1982. Martha lived in Missouri before moving to Annandale in 1964. She was a homemaker and also worked in the Missouri School District and Annandale School District as a cook. Martha was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale and the Council of Catholic Women.
Martha is survived by her son, Keith of Maple Grove; sister, Marge Ardolf of Silver Lake; grandchildren, Brandon Barson and Felicia (Jim) Vylasek; great grandchildren, Pacey and Tyson Vylasek; niece, Char (Tim) Watson of Ray; and nephew, Charles (Mary) Ardolf of Silver Lake.
Pallbearers will be Charles Ardolf, Jim Vylasek, Brandon Barson, Tim Watson, and Keith Barson. Music for the funeral provided by Carolyn Wicks.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
