Obituary
Marlys J. Nelson, age 78, left this world on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at her home in Dayton.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with Funeral Services held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2011 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Rev. Peter J. Martinson officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale.
Marlys June Nelson was born May 12, 1933 in Minneapolis to Richard John and Marlys June (Triplett) Westling. She married Ronald Leonard Nelson on September 22, 1951 in St. Louis Park. She worked many years for Honeywell, Chrysler, and then Wal-Mart. She enjoyed reading, coin collecting, family gatherings, and traveling.
Marlys was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; she was the light of our lives. Marlys was a kind and caring woman; she will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband Ron of Dayton, children Kathy (Russell) Fischbach of Coon Rapids, Mitchell (Karen) of St. Louis Park, John of Isle, Wade (Gina) of Isle, mother Marlys Westling of St. Louis Park, sister in law Sandy (Mike) Schoeben of The Villages, FL, and four grandchildren Angela Jansen, Becky Nelson, Nick Nelson, & Jami Nelson. She was preceded in death by her father Richard Westling, father in law & mother in law John & Emma Nelson, sister in law Barbara Fast, and brothers in law Jerry Fast & Jacky Nelson.
