Obituary
Marleen E. Nelson, age 90, of South Haven formerly of Minneapolis died Monday, September 24, 2012 at Parkview Care Center, Buffalo.
Funeral services will be held 12 Noon on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Highland Goodman will officiate and burial will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Annandale.
Marleen Esther Nelson was born September 14, 1922 in Minneapolis to Henry and Esther (Swanson) Huttner. She married Oliver H. Nelson on December 9, 1939 and he preceded her in death on April 1, 2001. She was a former member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Minneapolis and enjoyed cooking, entertaining, the holidays, reading, and traveling.
She is survived by her son Dale (Candace) Nelson of Starbuck, daughter Denise (Keith) Kohn of South Haven, sister Marjorie Larson of Brooklyn Park, grandchildren Sheri (Mike) Neiger & Andy Kohn, great grandchildren Rodney & Mike Becker, Brian, Kyle & Mikey Neiger. She was preceded in death by her husband, infant sister, granddaughter Terrie Nelson, and sister Louella Obinger.
The pallbearers will be her grandson and great grandsons. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
