Marion R. Clausen, age 83, of Maple Manor East Apartments, Maple Lake died Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at her residence.
Visitation will be after 9:30 a.m. with Memorial Services held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Maple Lake with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey B. Palmer officiating. Interment will be at Bethlehem United Church of Christ Cemetery, Maple Lake.
Marion Ruth Clausen was born May 27, 1925 in Minneapolis to John Allen 'Jack' and Mary Ann (Pickett) Casey. She married Roger Lee Clausen on July 3, 1958 and he preceded her in death on October 21, 1998. She worked as a cashier in Maple Lake at Dircks Brothers Grocery for 12 years and then Knaus Grocery for 4 years. She continued her friendship and love for all through her infectious smile and caring personality long after she retired in 1982. She was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ and was a Senior Dining Volunteer. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, playing cribbage, spending time with her family & friends, and her beloved dog Teddy Bear.
She is survived by her sons, Gary of Maple Lake, Michael (Terri) of Buckeye, AZ, daughter, Carolyn (Jerry) Johnson of Golden Valley; brother, Robert (Carolyn) Casey of Yuma, AZ; sisters, Margaret Pendzimas of Robbinsdale, Patricia Glassing of Little Rock, AR; 7 grandchildren, Scott, James, Angela, Eric, Ryan, Kathy, & Brian; 9 great grandchildren, Allison, Jordan, Ryan, Maria, Felicia, Emma, Ryder, Brianna, & Maggie. Her loving husband and brothers, Earl & David Casey preceded her in death.
The urnbearers will be her two sons Michael & Gary, Myrna Jude and David Schmidt will provide the music for the service, and the arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Maple Lake.
