Marilyn E. Davis, age 74, of Pelican Rapids, formerly of Maple Lake died Monday, March 17, 2008.
Funeral services will be held 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Marilyn Elizabeth Davis was born July 25, 1933 to Leo and Luella (Larson) Libra. She married Lowell Davis on December 3, 1974 in Mill City, SD and he preceded her in death on October 10, 1995. Marilyn worked as an LPN for 41 years, over 20 of those at the Buffalo Clinic. She was a charter member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Maple Lake and a current member at Zion Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls. Marilyn enjoyed crocheting, word search puzzles, bingo, friends, family, and loved her cats. She always had a kind word for others and a positive outlook on life.
Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Debra (Harold) Ogden of Fergus Falls, Barbara (Thomas) Dircks of Monticello and Vicki (Kenneth) Norlander of Edgewood, NM; step daughter, Lonna Mudrak of Eden Prairie; step son, Lyle Davis of Morristown; sister, Rosie (Gene) Persian of Buffalo; 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lowell; and parents, Leo and Luella (Larson) Libra.
Becky King will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake.
