Marilyn R. Wimmer, age 81 of Kimball died December 28, 2014 at the Talahi Care Center, St. Cloud, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2015 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Kimball with Fr. Thomas Olson officiating. Interment will follow in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery, Kimball. Visitation will be held from 3:30 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and 1 hour prior to the funeral at the church. A prayer service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Marilyn Regina Wimmer was born January 5, 1933 in Manannah, MN to Ambrose J. and Irene O. (Waldorf) Brutger. Marilyn graduated from Litchfield High School in 1951 and from Minneapolis Business College in 1953. She was united in marriage to Donald M. Wimmer on April 11, 1953 at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church, Forest City, MN. Marilyn lived in Kimball over 55 years where she was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, the Mission Group and Christian Mothers. She worked for Northwestern Bell, Minneapolis, Theis Brothers - Chevrolet and International Harvester dealership in Watkins. She also worked at the Watkins Creamery and Sparboe Farms in Litchfield. Marilyn was active in 4-H where she served as a Leader. She was a member of 4 Polka Clubs, as she loved to dance. She also enjoyed fishing, baking and playing the organ.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Donald; son, Eugene (Joann) of Little Falls; daughter, Jane (Paul) Nelson of Andover; brother, Clem (Jean) Brutger of Foreston; sister, Darlene Phillipp of Watkins; grandchildren, Jaclyn Schultz, Angela (Kory) Mortezaee and Michael (Cassidy) Wimmer; great grandchildren, Kayla and Austin Mortezaee. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Edwin and Leo; and 3 infant grandsons.

Joan Zongo and St. Anne Choir will provide music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
