Obituary
Marie A. Wurm, age 86, of Maple Lake died Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Buffalo Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. John Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Timothy's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Thursday.
Marie Alma Wurm was born April 19, 1927 to James and Rose (Loesch) Holthaus at Pearl Lake where she attended country school through eighth grade. She married Timothy Wurm on August 30, 1951 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Buffalo and he preceded her in death on August 17, 2003. Marie was a farm homemaker and was a member of St. Timothy's Church & Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed her family, farming, gardening, sewing, cooking, and baking.
She is survived by her nine children Jane Wurm of Maple Lake, Patrick (Denise) Wurm of St. Michael, Susan (Michael) Michaelis of Monticello, Ruth (Dave) Neske of Buffalo, Betty (Bruce) Stuhr of Annandale, Teresa (Rick) Doerr of Buffalo, Joan (Jeffrey) Michaelis of Monticello, Jerry Wurm of Maple Lake, Mae Wurm of Maple Lake, grandchildren Matthew Wurm, Gregory Wurm, David Michaelis, Annah Michaelis, Mariah Michaelis, Darin Neske, Megan (Joseph) Point, Melissa Neske, Jaclyn (Jeffrey) Steinhoff, Jeremy Stuhr, Jessica Stuhr (fiancé Justin Lehmann), Jerad (Sarah) Happe, Justin (Cortney) Happe, Rachel Michaelis, Ryan Michaelis, Rose Michaelis, great grandchildren Matthew Steinhoff, Ryan Steinhoff, Ethan Happe, Levi Happe, Austin Happe, brothers, sisters & in-laws Charles (Betty) Holthaus of Monticello, (Irmina) Holthaus of Buffalo, Richard (Annella) Holthaus of Buffalo, Raymond Holthaus of St. Michael, Bernice (Donald) Bursch of Buffalo, and Leona Henson of Buffalo. She was preceded in death by her husband Timothy, grandson Samuel Wurm, brother Fred Holthaus, sister Lucille Holthaus, in-laws Bernelda Holthaus and Duane Henson.
The pallbearers will be her eight grandsons: Matthew Wurm, Gregory Wurm, David Michaelis, Darin Neske, Jeremy Stuhr, Jerad Happe, Justin Happe, and Ryan Michaelis. The music for the service will be provided by Krista Elsenpeter Tarbox and Sarah Goelz along with Marie's eight granddaughters. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
