Obituary
Maria McKeown, age 79, of 541 Lincoln Ave., South Haven died Monday, May 15, 2006 peacefully at her home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2006 at Zion United Methodist Church, South Haven with Rev. Heather E. Klason officiating. Interment will be in Zion Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services. There will be a prayer service 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Maria Anna McKeown was born March 22, 1927 in Pommerania, Germany to Willie and Marie (Hack) Ehrke. She married LeRoy D. McKeown, Sr. on December 17, 1954 in Ingolstadt, Germany and they have lived at South Haven since 1960. Maria was a homemaker & seamstress and was a member of Zion United Methodist Church & the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, painting, wallpapering, baking, canning, and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, LeRoy Sr. of South Haven; children & their spouses, LeRoy Jr. & Kathleen of Goodhue, William Sr. & Debbie of Elk River, Carol Pramann of South Haven, Patricia & Michael Caird of South Haven; sisters, Johanna Lantis & her husband Orville of Glenwood, Christa O`Neil of Augusta, GA; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters & brothers, Martha Wagener, Hedwig Kramer, Gunter & Wilhelm Ehrke.
The pallbearers will be Chistopher Pramann, Scott Berscheid, Doug Hommerding, Kyle, Ryan, Kevin, & Thomas McKeown. The honorary pallbearers will be Cassy Pramann, Mandy Berscheid, Ashley Caird, Kim, William Jr, Paige, Jeremy, & Nathan McKeown. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
