Margie A. Truman, age 86, of Annandale, died Friday, September 11, 2026, at her home under the care of hospice and her family.

Private family services will be held in October. Margie will be laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery in St. James, Minnesota. In honor of Margie, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.

Margie Ann Scales was born on March 2, 1940, in Mountan Lake, Minnesota to Frank and Henrietta (Altman) Scales. She grew up in Trimont and graduated from Trimont High School in 1958.

On Oct. 19, 1959, she married Jerry Truman at St. Mark's Catholic Church in St. Paul. They made their home in Lino Lakes, where they raised their children. While Jerry built a successful flooring business, Margie dedicated herself to making a home and raising their family. In 1980, the couple moved to their home on Clearwater Lake near Annandale, where they loved to entertain family and friends.

Margie lived life to the fullest, whether she was exploring new corners of the world or creating an exquisite meal in the kitchen. Margie was known to chase strikes at the bowling alley. Margie loved escaping the Minnesota winters for the sunshine of Carthage, Missouri, and Lake Placid, Florida. More than anything, she loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Margie is survived by her children, Todd (Shelly) Truman of Lino Lakes and Scott Truman of Coon Rapids; son-in-law, George Iversen of Ham Lake; grandchildren, Tara, Stacey, Travis, Jerry and Corey; great-grandchildren, Everett, Kennedy, Cole, and Micah; brother, Dave Scales of Hudson, WI; caregiver and friend, Elsie Wachori; and nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Henrietta Scales; husband, Jerry Truman; and daughter, Dawn Iversen.
