Margaret C. Lundeen, 84, of Annandale died Thursday, November 8, 2007 at the Annandale Care Center.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 12, 2007 at Annandale Evangelical Free Church. Rev. Dennis L. Johnson will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
Margaret C. Lundeen was born on February 23, 1923 in Maple Lake to Herman and Dorothy (Vandergon) Gruys. She served her country in the US Navy during World War II as a nurse. Margaret married Kermit Lundeen on April 4, 1946 at the Silver Creek Reformed Church. She graduated from the Abbott School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Margaret worked as a Public Health Nurse for Wright County and as a School Nurse for Howard Lake Schools. She was a member of the Annandale Evangelical Free Church, where she was a Deaconness, Sunday School teacher, member of White Cross and served in many church offices. Margaret was also a member of the Annandale Care Center Auxiliary and led many women's community bible studies. She enjoyed children, gardening, watching hummingbirds, spending time at the cabin, and helping others. Her faith, family and friends always came first.
She is survived by her husband, Kermit of Annandale; daughter, Maribeth of Stillwater; sons, Vincent (Peni) of Annandale and Stephen (Pam) of Fairbanks, AK; brother, Arnold (Ruth) Gruys of Annandale; granddaughters, Tiffani of Annandale and Tysann (David) Forsman of Cokato; and sister-in-law, Cornelia Gruys of Rogers. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Gruys; and sister, Evelyn Anderson.
Pallbearers will be Doug, Bob and Bruce Gruys, Ted Henson, Eric Luehrs and Wade Thommen. Phyllis Johnson organist, Tysann Forsman and Sandy Thomas, vocalists will provide the music for the service. Memorials are preferred to the Annandale Evangelical Free Church or the Annandale Care Center.
