Mrs. Marella A. Hamilton, age 96, of Maple Lake died Friday, January 13, 2006 at Park View Care Center, Buffalo.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Father Jack Lau, OMI officiating. Burial will follow in St. Timothy's Catholic Cemetery, Maple Lake. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake.
Marella Anne Hamilton was born July 10, 1909 in Chatham Township, Wright County to Thomas and Anna (Zumbusch) Ward. She married Marvin C. Hamilton October 17, 1934 in Maple Lake and he preceded her in death June 2, 1994. Marella was raised in Maple Lake, lived in S. Paul, and moved back to Maple Lake in the late 1960's. She has been a resident of Park View Care Center, Buffalo since November of 1993. She was a member of St. Timothy's Catholic Church and Council of Catholic Women.
Marella is survived by daughters, sons, and their spouses, Anne (Robert) Johannes of St. Paul, John (Alice) of Newport, Barbara (Kathy) Hamilton, of Minneapolis, and Patrick (Judy) of Corinth, TX; sister, Genivieve Thayer of Hutchinson; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 5 brothers.
Pallbearers will be Joseph and Joe McDonough, Michael Gorman, Michelle Hamilton, John Hamilton, and Renee Jenkins. Music for the funeral provided by Marge Pavlik and St. Timothy's Resurrection Choir.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake.
