Marcella "Sally" Hilary, age 90, of Watkins, formerly of Kimball, died Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Hilltop Care Center in Watkins.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2018, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kimball with Rev. David Milz officiating. Burial take place at Maine Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-5 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the funeral on Monday, both at the church. A prayer service will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Marcella Ada Louise Hilary was born in Maine Prairie Township to George and Martha (Kuseske) Meyer on January 6, 1928. She grew up in Maine Prairie Township and lived in the Kimball area her entire life. Sally was united in marriage to Neil Hilary on May 1, 1948 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kimball. In addition to her role as a homemaker, Sally worked at Wonderall in Buffalo and Stearns Manufacturing in Sauk Rapids. Sally was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Kimball, the St. John's Quilters and the Kimball Area Historical Society. She volunteered at Kimball Senior Dining and the Kimball Food Shelf. She enjoyed flower gardening, camping, cooking and baking. She loved being with children, holding babies and spending time with her family.
Marcella is survived by husband Neil Hilary; Children George (Susan) Hilary of Prescott Valley, AZ, Carol (John) Geers of Rochester, Sandra (John) Rothstein of New Hope and Delroy (Pamela) Hilary of Watkins; 13 grandchildren Kristin Underwood, Justin Hilary, Stephanie Duda, Eric Geers, Heather Helberg, Aaron Geers, Emily Sigrist, Jesse Hilary, Alyssa Pauls, Bethany Schwartz, Jeremy, Joshua and Jenina Rothstein; 23 great grandchildren Colton, Jessica, Jolene, Jarod, Molly, Elijah, MacKenzie, Gabriella, Julian, Ada, Jacob, John, Basil, Gavin, Rianna, Adriana, Caleb, Jonas, Braden, Kody, Hayley, Hayden and Tatem; sister Deloris (Kenneth) Ingebrightson of South Haven; and honorary family members Steve, Mary Ann, Jordan, Brandon, Lauren, Joelle and Jarett Edwards. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Martha Meyer; brother Marvin Meyer; and sisters Helen and Darlene Meyer.
The pallbearers will be Sally's grandchildren. Lori Rippentrop will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
