Obituary
Marcella A. Koepsell, age 89, of Monticello, formerly of Maple Lake died Thursday, August 28, 2003 at the Annandale Care Center.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Silver Creek with Rev. David Fretham officiating. Burial will follow in Corinna Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call 4 - 8 p.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake and one hour prior to services at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m., Friday.
Marcella A. Koepsell was born July 2, 1914 in Mayer, MN to August and Ida (Beiersdorf) Zabel. She married Walter Koepsell on October 24, 1934 in Mayer; he preceded her in death on June 27, 1991. She lived in Maple Lake for 44 years before moving to Monticello in 1996 and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Marcella enjoyed her family, playing cards, her embroidery work and word find books.
She is survived by 4 children, daughters, Marianne (John) Sonsteby of Black Duck, Alice (Richard) Klatt of Maple Lake, Joyce (Hughitt) Sonsteby of Clearwater; son, James (Jeanne) Koepsell of Park Rapids; sister, Alline Ohm of Mayer; 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren. Her husband; daughter, Burneal Brevik; grand daughter, Juanita; brothers, Elmer, August and Melvin; and one sister Vera Ohm preceded her in death.
The pallbearers will be Brad, Randy, Jerry Sonsteby, Curt, Mike and Mark Larson.
The music will be provided by Delores Hayes and Becky Knake.
