Obituary
Maida E. Hinz, age 90, of 16730 66th Ave., South Haven died Friday, February 20, 2004 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2004 at St. John`s Lutheran Church, Kimball with Rev. Dave Milz officiating. Burial will follow in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, Fair Haven. The pallbearers will be her four sons and two sons in law. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and one hour prior to services at the church. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Monday.
Maida Emelia Ottilie Hinz was born June 4, 1913 at Chippewa Falls, WI to William and Martha (Pagenkopf) Handt. She married Sidney C. Hinz October 31, 1943 in Monticello and he preceded her in death on November 12, 1980. She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband in Maine Prairie Township, Stearns County. She was a member of St. John`s Lutheran Church and a former member of Concordia Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her six children & their spouses, Robert Hinz & Barbara Benson of Mill Valley, CA, Patricia & Richard Peterson of Kimball, Catherine & David Hollermann of Carlos, Ralph of South Haven, Richard & Sherry of Kimball, Russell of South Haven; sister, Mildred Kleinheinz of Chippewa Falls, WI; 8 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; sisters, Pauline Frank & Doris Schick; and brothers, Bernard & Robert Handt.
Memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Association.
