A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Madalynn Sue Hadfield was born at Masonic Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, on July 22, 2011, to Nicholas and Melissa (Eischens) Hadfield. Maddie attended Annandale Middle School, where she will be remembered for her radiant spirit whose kindness and love touched the lives of everyone around her.

She was a shining light in the lives of her family and friends, known for her sweet disposition, her infectious smile, and the sparkle in her eye that could light up any room. Maddie's gentle heart and thoughtful nature made her a true friend to all, especially her brother Brady supporting him and his blind hockey community. Her passions, from swimming at the beach to tubing behind the pontoon, and listening to music filled her days with joy.

A heart warrior, Maddie loved going to camp at Camp Odayin, a cherished place for children with heart disease. She embraced every moment at camp with exuberance, befriending fellow campers and spreading kindness. Maddie dreamed in ways that reached far beyond her years - imagining a future spent rescuing dogs and walking along the beaches of Hawaii where she could feel the warmth and beauty she brought to others.

Maddie had a special place in her heart for all things sweet - whether it was candy, cupcakes, or her favorite ice cream treats. She cherished the memories made with her family on their RV travels to beautiful destinations across the United States and Canada, most recently visiting the serene shores of Maine.

Maddie is survived by her parents Nick and Melissa Hadfield of Annandale and brother Brady Hadfield of Annandale; grandparents Judy and Don Blackwell of St. Joseph; aunts and uncles, Mitch Eischens of Spicer, Marci (Joel) Sussenguth of St. Joseph, Kathie (Brian) Van Gheem of Indianapolis, IN, Chris Hadfield of Pillager, and Jeremy Hadfield of Poulsbo, WA. She was preceded in death by her grandparents James and Barbara Hadfield and William Eischens; and uncle Gabe Eischens.

Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Annandale.
