Luella R. Peller, age 95, of South Haven died peacefully Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Park View Care Center, Buffalo. She had resided at Park View for two years after leaving her home on Clearwater Lake where she had lived for over 30 years.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2008 at First Lutheran Church, 213 N. Hennepin St., Winthrop with Pastor Highland Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in the Winthrop Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake and one hour prior to services at the Church. Memorials are preferred to Elim Care, Inc., 7485 Office Ridge Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344.
Luella Regina Peller was born December 8, 1912 on the family farm near Winthrop to Victor and Alma (Johnson) Anderson. She married Benjamin Phillips in 1931 and they later divorced. She married Fred Peller in 1960 and he preceded her in death in 1984. She was employed by Honeywell, Inc. in Minneapolis for 33 years and was a member of Central Lutheran Church, Minneapolis.
She is survived by a son, Roy Phillips of Bellevue, WA; a sister, Adeline Bluemke of Belgrade; sisters in law, Leilah Anderson of Winthrop, Lenore Anderson of Osage, Ruth Anderson of Gaylord; four grandchildren, Scott (Lisa) & Tim Clark, Diane Mahady, Hugh (Joan) Phillips; eight great grandchildren, Maria, Charles, Laura & Hanna Mahady, Brianna & Adam Clark, Arden & Evan Phillips; a great great grandson, Sebastian Villanueva and 16 nieces/nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Joan Clark, son in law Don Clark, daughter in law Jeanne Phillips, granddaughter Anne Phillips, brothers Clifford, Wilfred, Arnold, Warren & Lloyd, and 3 sisters Elenora Anderson, Verdie Krueger & Adelia Miller.
Her grandchildren and great grandchildren will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Park View for their concerned and loving care. Arrangements have been entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care.
