Obituary
Lucille B. Smith, age 82, of Maple Lake died Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2013 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Maple Lake, with Fr. John Meyer as the Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Timothy's Catholic Cemetery, Maple Lake. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 9-10 a.m. Friday, both at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel of Maple Lake. Parish prayers will be held 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.
Lucille Bernadette Smith was born May 19, 1930 in Maple Lake to Jule and Bernadette (Martin) Provo. She was united in marriage to Donald Carl Smith on October 30, 1947 in Maple Lake and he preceded her in death on February 1, 2005 in Robbinsdale. Lucille was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, where she has served on the CCW, sang in the choir for 21 years, was a Eucharistic Minister to homebound church members for 9 years and volunteered as a "Grandma" at the Parish school. She enjoyed her church, singing in the church choir, spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and traveling.
She is survived by her 9 children Linda of Ramsey, Julie (Dennis) Boettcher of Big Lake, Gary (Chris) of Grantsburg, WI, Steven (Julie) of Maple Lake, Cynthia (Larry) Woolhouse of Becker, James (Sandra) of Elk River, Greg (Pamela) of Becker, Kevin (George) of Fairfield, CT and Debra (Mark) Wurm of Maple Lake; 25 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sister Marie Remund of Coon Rapids; and sister in law Freda Provo of Annandale. She is preceded in death by her parents Jule and Bernadette; husband Donald; and brothers Joseph and Arsene Provo.
The pallbearers will be Ryan, Kyle, Jared and Loren Smith, Justin Eggert and Hunter Wurm. Michael McDeid, Michelle Marie Raddatz, Randy Grist and Bacco Lui will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
