Louise Irene Weidner Day was born April 10, 1944 in New Orleans, LA to Carl and Julia (Morgan) Weidner. She grew up and graduated from high school in Shreveport, LA. She then became a flight attendant and flew with Delta Airlines for about 2 years. She later worked for Citation Oil & Gas Corporation for almost 30 years, before retiring in 2008. On February 12, 1972 she was united in marriage to Ronald M. Day in Shreveport, LA. They were happily married for 28 years, until they were separated by his death on March 7, 2000.
Louise enjoyed the finer things life had to offer. She loved art, music and attending the theatre. She also enjoyed reading, shopping and travel, especially her trips to Florida and England. Her greatest joy was playing with her grandchildren. She was a loving and loyal friend, wife, mother and grandmother. Her family and friends will always remember her laugh, her kindness, and her wonderful smile. We will have a hole in our hearts without her.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Lara & Dana Kjaer of South Haven; two grandchildren, Arthur and Julia Kjaer; her mother, Julia Weidner of Annandale; and her sister, Elizabeth Weidner of Annandale. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl and husband, Ronald.
Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
