Lorraine F. Sandretzky, age 93, of Maple Lake, formerly of Columbia Heights, died Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at her home in Maple Lake. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2022, at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. Kevin Magner as Celebrant. A reception will follow at The V in Maple Lake. Burial will be held 10:45 a.m. September 29, 2022 at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery Assembly Area 4. Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Thursday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. The service will be webcast on the funeral home website. Lorraine Frances Kopzeski was born December 10, 1928, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to William and Josephine (Solpa) Kopczeski. Lorraine grew up in NE Minneapolis and graduated from Edison High School. On September 3, 1949, she was united in marriage to Leslie Sandretzky at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Minneapolis. They made their home in Columbia Heights, where they raised their family. Over the years, Lorraine worked various part time jobs. With her caregiver's heart, she made sure their home was a loving environment. Lorraine would enjoy summers at the family cabin on Maple Lake. In 2021, Lorraine moved to Maple Lake to be closer to family. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbia Heights, as well as St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake. Lorraine enjoyed gardening, canning, reading, and cheering on the Minnesota sports teams. She is survived by her children, Diane Pruett of Maple Lake, Michael (Janet) Sandretzky of Roseville, Leslie Sandretzky of Maple Lake, and Patrick (Kimberly) Sandretzky of Maple Lake; 9 grandchildren, Matthew (Jessica) Pruett, Andrew (Alyssa) Pruett, Kathryn (Tom) Hobday, Lindsey Sandretzky, Ayla Sandretzky, Ryan (Laura) Hillyer, Megan (Ben) Anderson, Nicole Sandretzky, Christopher Sandretzky (fiancee, Brianna Penaz); 11 great-grandchildren, Ian, Lily, Wesley, Claire, Benjamin, Jonathan, Finnley, Loretta, Paisley, Shawn, and Everhett. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Adam Sandretzky; son-in-law, William Pruett; brothers, Raymond and Eugene Kopczeski; and sister, Deloris Bornetun. Lorraine's grandchildren will serve as urn bearers. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
