Obituary

Mrs. Lola H. Carlson, age 67, of Maple Lake died Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at Mercy Hospital, Coon Rapids.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2005 at St. Timothy`s Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Father Mark Huberty officiating. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Maple Lake. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and from 9-10 a.m. Monday at St. Timothy`s Catholic Church, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Sunday.

Lola Helen Carlson was born February 10, 1938 in Albion Township, Wright County to John E. and Helen C. (Post) Bruns. Lola graduated from Maple Lake High School in 1955 and was class valedictorian. She married Clarence D. `Sonny` Carlson on September 7, 1957 in St. Timothy`s Catholic Church, Maple Lake. Lola and her husband owned and operated a dairy/hog farm and in later years operated Carlson Sod. Lola also was a Wright County Foster Care Provider for 25 years. Lola lived in the Maple Lake area all her life where she was a member of St. Timothy`s Catholic Church. She loved her family, church, caring for others, sewing, gardening and volunteering at St. Timothy`s Catholic School.

Lola is survived by her husband, Clarence D. `Sonny` of Maple Lake; daughters, Debra (Harold) Klatt of Buffalo, Sandra Cee of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Rhonda (Perry) Puncochar of Maple Lake; sons, John (Kim) of Monticello, Dan (Jennifer) of Maple Lake, and David (Barbara) of Buffalo; sisters, Elaine Anderson of St. Cloud, Charlene (Henry) Mavencamp of Maple Lake, Myra (James) Munstenteiger of Maple Lake, Helen (Donald) Conway of KS, and Theresa (Charles) Becker of Monticello; brother, John (Diane) of Maple Lake; and 13 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Michelle, Danielle, and Derek Klatt, Joseph, Jesse, and Jennifer Puncochar. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sommer, Nathan, Cassie, Olivia, Katie, Julia, and Matthew Carlson. Music for the funeral provided by Sarah Goelz and Krista Tarbox.
