Lisa Ann Laabs was born June 30, 1968 to Raymond Sheehan, Sr. and Roxanna (Olson) Sheehan in Minneapolis. She graduated from Park Center High School in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota with the class of 1986 and worked as a nurse's assistant. Lisa and Ricky Ralph Laabs were together for twelve years; they united in marriage on October 16, 2009 at their home in Watkins.
Lisa was a proud mother, a devoted wife, an adventurous gardener, a lover of dogs and an expert shopper. For Lisa, every day was filled with laughter, yet stubborn to the end; she always fought for what she believed in. Lisa enjoyed riding on the Harley Davidson with her husband Rick. She adored cows, so much that anything with a black spotted print was sure to make her smile. Lisa passionately believed in the strength of family and friends; her greatest enjoyment came from the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Rick of Watkins; children, Shawn Laabs of New Hope, Heidi Laabs (Alex Hemleb) of Big Lake, Christopher Sheehan of Red Wing, Joseph Sheehan of Watkins, Adam Rossberg of Kimball and Jimmy Laabs of Watkins; grandchildren, Logan, Layla, Landon and Tucker; mother, Roxanna Sheehan of Brooklyn Center; father, Raymond (Linda) Sheehan of California; cousin, Norma Schlegel of Buffalo; siblings, Brenda, Karen, and Raymond Jr., all of Massachusetts. Lisa is preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald and Marion Olson.
Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Kimball.
