Obituary

Linda S. Erickson, age 63, of Sauk Centre, formerly of Kimball, died tragically on Friday, January 2, 2026, as a result of an auto accident.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2026, at Hope Central Christian Church in Kimball with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Kimball Cemetery.

Linda Shirleen Erickson was born on June 4, 1962, in Park Rapids, Minnesota, to Carl and Shirley (Weiss) Branham. She grew up in Menagha, where she was a member of Park Rapids Church of Christ and graduated from Menagha High School. She lived most of her adult life in the Kimball area.

Linda was the proud owner and operator of Linda's Cafe between Annandale and South Haven, where she shared her passion for food and hospitality with those around her. Her cafe became a cherished gathering place, reflecting her nurturing spirit and kind heart. Linda had a strong faith and love for God. She had a heart of gold. Her big heart especially showed when she took in her niece and nephews, Heather, Shaun and Logan Piepkorn, after the loss of her sister, embracing them as her own.

In addition to her unwavering commitment to family, Linda enjoyed many hobbies that brought her joy. She had a love for Harley Davidson motorcycles and her cats, enjoyed cross-stitching, and found solace in her vegetable and plant gardens. Linda delighted in listening to country music and shared her beautiful voice through singing. Her infectious laugh and ability to engage in long, heartfelt conversations on the phone will be deeply missed.

Linda is survived by her brothers, Kenneth Branham and Robert "Mike" Branham (Nancy Dero); and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Shirley Branham; brother, John Branham; and sister, Anita "Duchess" Piepkorn.
