Obituary
Lily E. Strenke, age 80, of Annandale died Friday, April 8, 2011 at the Annandale Care Center.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at Mount Hope Cemetery in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
Lily Evelyn Strenke was born April 20, 1930 in Bismarck, ND to Jens and Grace (Abbey) Jensen. She grew up in Lemmon, SD with two brothers and six sisters. Over the years, Lily has lived in Litchfield, Blaine, St. Paul, Becker and Foley. She was married to Glyndon Thies, A. Leroy Nelson and Alfred Strenke; all three of them preceded her in death. Lily enjoyed all sorts of crafts, including crocheting, sewing, wearable art, making jewelry, and dolls. She also loved to dance and raise African Violets.
She is survived by her four children, DeWayne (NanChu) Thies of Charlotteville, VA, Linda Thies of Brooklyn Park, Cathy (Vern) Tate of Annandale and Roy (Michelle) Nelson of Zimmerman; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
