Lillie E. Blumke, age 78 of Fairhaven died Friday, May 16, 2008 as a result of a brain aneurism.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2008 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Fairhaven. Rev. Timothy Nerud will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church. A prayer service will be held 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home
Lillie E. Blumke was born October 24, 1929 in South Haven to Herman and Athina "Tina" (Albers) Lueders. She married Harold H. Blumke on May 8 1949 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Fairhaven and he preceded her in death on October 15, 1999. Lillie worked for over 20 years as a Bridal Consultant at JC Penney in St. Cloud. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, where she was involved in LWML, choir, bible study, care group, cradle role, craft group, sympathy letters and planning of funeral luncheons. She also volunteered at the food shelf. Lillie enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed quilting, fishing, spearing, playing cards, baking, bird watching and gardening.
She is survived by her children, Susan (Mike) Michalski and Kris (Dan) Moeller both of Clearwater, Dennis of Spicer, David (Mary) and Robert (Paula) both of St. Cloud; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; baby granddaughter; twin sister; and brothers, Ervin, Walter and Heine Lueders.
Pallbearers will be Eric, Aaron and Darrin Blumke, Jeff, Paul and Adam Michalski, Cole and Levi Moeller. Honorary pallbearers will be Nancy Brown, Laurie Barthel, Darcy Krippner, Malia Blumke, Sondra Grotz, Tara Blumke and Mandy Pundsack. Nancy Oswald will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
