Obituary
Lillian Caroline Bertha Gunnerson, age 98, of Florence, MT formerly of Annandale joined her heavenly Father on Saturday, February 12, 2005 in Missoula, MT.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2005 at St. John`s Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. David Doppenberg officiating. Burial will follow in St. John`s Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services at the church. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Thursday.
Lillian Caroline Bertha Gunnerson was born July 12, 1906 in Annandale to William and Ida (Kindell) Gille. She was raised on a farm near Annandale where she attended school. She married Joseph Gunnerson August 20, 1924 in Buffalo and he preceded her in death in 1977. Lillian worked hard as a farmer`s wife and raised 6 children. She was a member of St. John`s Lutheran Church and was active in the Ladies Aid in her younger years. She loved flowers, reading, gardening, music, visiting with family & friends, and watching the deer & birds. Lillian moved to Montana at the age of 88 to live with her daughter Judy and son-in-law Lee Nothnagel.
She is survived by her children, Mary Arlt of Roseville, Marvin of South Haven, Lucy (Milton) Schmidt of Kimball, Judy (Lee) Nothnagel of Florence, MT, John of Annandale; daughter in law, JoAnn of South Haven; brothers, Alfred (Anita) Gille of Clearwater, Gilbert Gille of Annandale; sister, Ruby Denson of Elk River, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Harold, great grandson, Jesse Gunnerson, son in law, Arnon Arlt, and five brothers & sisters.
The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
