Lillian Eleanor Esjornson, age 73, of Annandale died Sunday, October 22, 2006 at her home.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 27, 2006 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Fr. Victor Valencia officiating. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale. Memorials are preferred to the Great River Regional Library.
Ellie was born November 21, 1932 in Albion Township, Wright County to Richard John and Lillian Matthilda (Tolonon) Kantola. She married Floyd T. Esjornson October 20, 1956 in St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Maple Lake. Ellie was a homemaker and along with her husband owned & operated Shady Lawn Resort on Pleasant Lake, Annandale from 1968-1990. In her retirement years she operated the pull-tab booth in Russell's Bar for the Annandale Lions Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family, meeting friends for morning coffee, traveling, card playing, reading mystery novels and doing puzzles.
She is survived by children, Mary Esjornson of Minneapolis, David (Sylvia) Esjornson of Weatherford, OK, Linda Esjornson of Minneapolis, Cary (Michael) Tvrdik of Alexandria; sister, Vi (Les) Gutknecht of South Haven; brother, Russell (Marlene) Kantola of Annandale; also 6 grandchildren, Walter, Louise & Elaine Esjornson, Tyler & Jacquie Marshall, and Zachary Tvrdik. Her husband, son, Stevie and sisters, Elsie Newago & Bernice Baker preceded her in death.
The pallbearers will be her grandchildren and Dureen Gasser will provide the music. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
