Lillian B. Cooley, age 94, of Sartell formerly of Kingston died Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Country Manor Health Care Center, Sartell.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 noon Monday, January 31, 2011 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Kimball with Fr. Al Stangl officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and one hour prior to services at the Church. There will be a prayer service 4 p.m. Sunday.
Lillian Barbara Cooley was born September 22, 1916 at Winona to Peter and Anna (Briza) Anderson. She married Arthur B. Cooley on July 3, 1942 in Minneapolis and he preceded her in death on January 6, 1996. For 43 years she lived in the Kingston area and out of her home from 1959-1982 operated Lillian's Beauty Shop. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and Johnson-Kelly American Legion Post 483 Auxiliary, Kingston. She enjoyed cooking for family & friends, gardening, sewing, quilt making, and crocheting.
She is survived by her four children & their spouses Betty & Dean Ailie of Dassel, Barbara & Jim Parks of Schaumburg, IL, David Cooley & Catherine DeMars of Shorewood, Greg & Donna Cooley of Sartell, brother Tom (Helen) Anderson of Rochester, WA, 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, grandson Jimmy Parks, sisters Louise Beardsley & Betty May Anderson, and brothers Charles, Harry, Robert, Fred, John, Ralph, Ray, Phillip & Alfred Anderson.
The pallbearers will be Joseph & Peter Cooley, Dominic & Andrea Verhey, Diane Collins, Pamela Sarbo, Lisa Murphy, and Joe Anderson. The honorary pallbearers will be Megan Cooley, Rebekah Schubert, and Chris Laumb. The music for the service will be provided by Frosty Schiefelbein organist and the St. Anne's Choir. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
