Leo J. Donabauer, age 90, of Kimball died Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at his home.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m. with Memorial Services held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Kimball United Methodist Church with Rev. Marilee Benson officiating.

Leo Joseph Donabauer was born February 9, 1921 at St. Joseph to Leopold and Margaret (Reisinger) Donabauer.  He married Dorraine M. Schaefer on November 23, 1944 at Holy Angel's Catholic Church, St. Cloud and since 1962 they have lived north of Kimball.  He worked for Great Northern Railroad and then for 32 years he was a nurse's aide at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center.  Leo also worked many side jobs such as mowing lawns & fixing almost anything and he enjoyed hunting & fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Dorraine of Kimball, 11 children Karen Seth of Maple Lake, Jim (Sherry) of South Haven, Dale of Sutter, CA, Nancy Herges of Kimball, David (Sue) of Kimball, Sharon (Donald) Lommel of Clear Lake, Joy (Donald) Mathies of Richmond, Alan (Linda) of Oak Park, Richard of Stanchfield, Roy (Carmen) of St. Joseph, Lisa (David) Silbernagel of Kimball, sisters Hildegaard Schnieder of Foley, Rose Michalski of St. Cloud, Tillie Lacken of Harker Heights, TX, Joan Wruck of St. Cloud, 24 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by daughter Donna Donabauer, sister Bertha Klien, brothers Herman, Bernard, Al, Val, Daniel, Florian "Timmy" and Gilbert.
