Obituary

Lee C. Hoskins, age 74, of Kimball died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at his home.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the Church of Christ in Kimball.  Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, both at the church.  Burial will occur at a later date in the Memorial Garden at the Hoskin's family farm.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the charity of the donor's choice.

Lee Clay Hoskins was born September 22, 1939 in Lester Prairie to Leo and Thelma (Larson) Hoskins.  He graduated from Kimball Area High School with the class of 1957.  Lee furthered his education with two Bachelor of Science degrees, one from the University of Minnesota and the other from St. Cloud State University.  On September 28, 1963, Lee was married to Bonnie Pearson at the Kimball Church of Christ.  Lee served his country in the U.S. Air Force; retiring as a Captain in 1982.  After his military service, he worked as an office manager for an insurance company and also worked for the US Postal Service.

Lee was a member of the Kimball Church of Christ, where he was an Elder, teacher and leader.  He was also a member of Toastmasters, Restoration Forums, the Military Officers Association and worked with multiple Church Plants around the world.  Lee loved studying and teaching the Bible, building the Hoskins Dome Home, telling jokes, traveling, watching westerns and collecting coins; he also enjoyed playing Farkle, Marbles & Jokers and Monopoly with family and friends.

Lee is survived by his wife Bonnie of Kimball; children & their spouses Becky & Jay Moldenhauer of Roseville, Alana & Tom Kopp of Litchfield, AZ, Laurance & Molly of DeRidder, LA and Lewis & Elizabeth of Zumbro Falls; 10 grandchildren Jonathon, Leisha and Marcus (Brittany) Weyhrauch, Caleb and Stephen Kopp, Mercedes, Lucas, Leilani, Lantz and Liberty Hoskins; and two great grandchildren Alexus and Bentley Weyhrauch.  He is preceded in death by his parents Leo & Thelma; sister Doris Capes; brother David; and grandson Christian.
