Obituary

Lawrence J. Kessler, age 81 of Wayzata, formerly of Minneapolis and Maple Lake died Thursday, February 4, 2010.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2010 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale. Burial will be in Pleasantview Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 9:00 until the service, Friday at the church.

Lawrence John Kessler was born on April 24, 1928 in St. Michael to George and Marie (Martin) Kessler. He married Dorothy Heurung on October 12, 1953 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls and she preceded him in death on January 11, 2005. Lawrence worked as a Boiler Engineer at Liberty Carton Company in Golden Valley for 27 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, dancing polkas and playing bingo.

He is survived by his children, Bob (Grace) of Lincoln, Jean of Moorhead, Mary Jo (Rob) Schlee of Mound, Lynn (Rob) Antony of Rogers, Jeff (Jodie) of Duluth and Brad (Kelly) of Bloomington; brothers, Ken (Bess) of Mesa, AZ and Joseph (Dorleen) of Bella Vista AR; sisters, Shirley Maier of Sauk Rapids and Patricia (Len) Ritter of Bloomington; sister in law, Gen of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren, Robert, Shawnna, Brandon, Adam, Cassie, Chad, Joshua, Brianna, Tyler, Emily, Paige, Madeline, Cordelia and Conner; great grandchildren, Dalilah, Hailey, Clayton, Derrick, Travis, Kendall, Payton, Carson and Aiden. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; parents, George and Marie; and brothers, Jerome, Eugene and Donald.

Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
