Laverne M. Scheeler, age 91, of Kimball died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Cardinal Cottage of the Memory Loss Unit, Annandale Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 17, 2010 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Kimball. Fr. Thomas Olson will officiate and burial will be in St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and one hour prior to the service at the church. Parish Prayers will be 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Laverne Magdalena Scheeler was born February 9, 1919 to Joseph and Hedwig (Kiess) Feneis in Rockville Township, Stearns County. She married Jerome Scheeler on June 15, 1944 at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Luxemburg and he preceded her in death on October 18, 2007. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing cards & games, gardening, baking and rug making. She was a member of St. Anne's Church, Catholic Aid Association, and Royal Neighbors of America.
She is survived by her seven children Pat (Duane) Mares of Watkins, Dianne (Bruce) Robinson of Kimball, Alice Scheeler of Kimball, Lloyd (Deanna) Scheeler of Kimball, Joyce (Chucky) Kuechle of Kimball, Janet (Jim) Thurber of Annandale, Bonnie (Don) Thurber of Kimball, brother Joe (Jean) Feneis of St. Cloud, sister Donna (Elmer) Eisenschenk of Cold Spring, 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and also her special family & staff of Cardinal Cottage. Her husband, three brothers and six sisters preceded her in death.
The pallbearers will be Duane Mares, Bruce Robinson, Deanna Scheeler, Chucky Kuechle, Jim Thurber, and Don Thurber. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
