LaVerna M. Anderson, age 83, of Annandale died with her family at her side on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Park View Care Center in Buffalo.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Annandale with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Alex Becker will officiate. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, French Lake. The service will be livestreamed on the Dingmann Funeral Care website.

LaVerna Muriel Anderson was born June 10, 1938 in French Lake Township to John and Laura (Anderson) Opsahl. She attended grade school in French Lake and graduated from Annandale High School with the Class of 1956. On June 29, 1957, she was united in marriage to Donald Anderson. They lived in St. Louis Park before moving to Annandale in 1971. In addition to caring for the home, LaVerna also cleaned for a number of home and business owners in the area. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, going to church, watching Wheel of Fortune, playing pull tabs, and enjoying an ice cold Busch Light. She loved being with her family and friends and many of the things she did was to bring others to fellowship at her table. She cherished her grandchildren above all else in this world.

She is survived by her sons, Steve of French Lake and Tom (Jackie) of Annandale; grandchildren, Nichole Anderson, Brandon Anderson, Morgan Nicka, and Alyssa Anderson; and great-grandchildren, Ava Nicka, Tritt Jones, Cameron Anderson, and Aubrey Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Laura Opsahl; and husband, Donald Anderson.

The casket bearers will be Jeff Nicka, John, Jim and Joe Kalthoff, Skip Nolan, and Brandon Anderson. LaVerna's granddaughters and great-grandchildren will serve as honorary casket bearers. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
