Obituary
Larry M. Davidson, age 57, of Maple Grove died March 29, 2012 at home under hospice care surrounded by the love of his family.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 7401 Co. Rd. 101, Maple Grove with Pastor David Lippitt officiating. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Riverside Cemetery, French Lake Township, Wright County conducted by Pastor Edward Groop. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and at the Church one hour prior to the services. A prayer service will be held 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Larry Michael Davidson was born October 11, 1954 in Annandale, Minnesota to Robert and Lempie (Kotila) Davidson. Larry attended school in Annandale, graduating with the Class of 1973. He then furthered his education at the University of Minnesota, graduating in 1977 with a degree in Medical Technology. He was united in marriage to Karen Lea McGilligan on June 18, 1977 in Hopkins at Gethsemane Lutheran Church. Larry worked as a medical technologist at North Memorial for 2 years and then for Dade/Miles Labs for 7 years. He most recently worked in medical sales for Roche Diagnostics for 15 years until his health started to fail.
Larry enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting and spending time at the cabin on Lake Sylvia. Larry's greatest enjoyment was the time he spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Karen of Maple Grove; daughters and their spouses, Katie and Miles Cady & Amanda and Theodore Nash all of Maple Grove; granddaughter, Alice Katherine Cady; siblings, Joy Hentges of Annandale, Carol Burnett, and Robert (Patricia) Davidson both of Mobile, Alabama, and Cheryl Carter of Minneapolis; mother in law Lorraine McGilligan of Maple Grove; brother-in-law, Michael McGilligan of Maple Grove; nephew, Joel (Linda) Hentges of Minnetrista; and numerous nieces & nephews. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, infant sibling, Donna Mae Davidson and nephew, Jon Davidson.
Pallbearers will be Miles Cady, Theodore Nash, Benjamin & Matthew Hentges, Julius Andrews and Robert Johnson. Music for the service will be provided by Nicholas Hentges and Melissa Huntsinger. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
