Kevin C. Kronquist, age 57, of 6041 115th Street NW, Maple Lake died Friday, April 18, 2008 at the St. Cloud Hospital suddenly due to a heart attack.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2008 at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Clearwater with Fr. Jacob Yali officiating. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services at the Church. Deacon Ron Freeman will conduct a prayer service 7 p.m. Thursday.
Kevin Cyril Kronquist was born August 2, 1950 in St. Cloud to Onni and Myrtle (Mares) Kronquist. He graduated from Annandale High School in 1968 and served in the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam War from 1971-1973. Kron married Margaret 'Margi' Pribyl on August 3, 1974 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Maple Lake. In 1976 he graduated from Key West Community College. For 32 years he was a U.S. Postal Service Letter Carrier in Golden Valley and then Plymouth retiring this past October. Kron enjoyed spending time with his wife, boys, and in Key West, Florida. His hobbies were horses, woodworking, fishing, traveling, snorkeling, and viewing old classic movies.
He is survived by his wife, Margi of Maple Lake; sons, Tommy (Kristy Evans) of Duluth, Michael (Carrie Rasset) of Eagan; mother, Myrtle Kronquist of Annandale; father in law, Jack Pribyl of Annandale; sisters, Karen (Randy) Lucht of Hawley, Karla Bentrup of South Haven, Kim (Garry) Kieves of Minnetonka; uncle, Merle (Audrey) Mares of Nowthen; aunts, Sivia Newman of Coon Rapids and godmother Loretta Johnson of Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his father, Onni Kronquist, mother in law, Doris Pribyl, and aunts, Grace Johnson & Adeline Repke.
The pallbearers will be Ron Freeman, Dale Homuth, Dave Ernhardt, Randy Lucht, and Garry Kieves. The honorary pallbearers will be John, George, Fred, & Ted Pribyl, and Randy Mavencamp. The music for the Mass will be provided by Ruth Ellis, Randy Mavencamp, and St. Luke's Choir. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
