Kermit V. Lundeen, age 89, of Annandale died Friday, January 15, 2010 at the Annandale Care Center.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2010 at the Annandale Evangelical Free Church with Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call at the Church on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. and also one hour prior to services on Monday. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Sunday. Memorials are preferred to Annandale Evangelical Free Church or Annandale Care Center.
Kermit Vincent Lundeen was born July 17, 1920 at Annandale to Carl and Ruth (Isaacson) Lundeen. He graduated from Annandale High School in 1938 and in 1944 from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelors of Business Administration. He married Margaret C. Gruys on April 4, 1946 in Silver Creek and she preceded him in death on November 8, 2007. From 1944-1949 he worked in the Twin Cities at several accounting firms and then until 1953 operated his own accounting business in Buffalo and Annandale. Kermit then joined the family business Lundeen Brothers Ford, Annandale. He was a member of Annandale Evangelical Free Church, serving in numerous capacities: Church Chairman, Trustee, Church Board, Sunday School Teacher, Social Concerns Board, & Deacon Board. He was a member of the Clinic Corporation Board that was instrumental in starting the Annandale Care Center serving on the Board of Directors from 1982-1996 and since then on the Finance Committee. He was a member of Annandale Chamber of Commerce, Annandale Development Corporation, Camp Shamineau Board, Annandale State Bank Board, and Annandale Kiwanis Club.
He is survived by his three children Maribeth Lundeen of Stillwater, Vincent (Peni) Lundeen of Annandale, Stephen (Pam) Lundeen of Fairbanks, AK, two grandchildren, Tiffani Lundeen of Annandale, Tysann (David) Forsman of Cokato, brother Carroll (Aileen) Lundeen of Eden Prairie, sister Virginia (Armin) Luehrs of Eden Prairie. His wife and sisters Grace Peerman and Joyce Thommen preceded him in death.
The pallbearers will be David Forsman, Eric Luehrs, Ted Henson, Wade Thommen, Doug and Bruce Gruys. The music for the service will be provided by Tysann Forsman, Sandy Thomas and Phyllis Johnson. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
