Obituary
Mr. Kenneth E. Peterson, age 84, of Annandale died Sunday, February 6, 2005 at the Annandale Care Center.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2005 at St. John`s Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. David Doppenberg officiating. Interment will be in St. John`s Lutheran Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services on Friday at the church. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Thursday.
Kenneth Ernest Peterson was born March 19, 1920 in Knapp to Ernest and Esther (Anderson) Peterson. He served his Country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Kenneth married Elma L. Olean July 23, 1943 in Albion Township, Wright County. He drove gas and fuel oil truck for over 30 years in the Annandale area and later drove school bus for 7 years before retiring in 1992. Kenneth lived in the Annandale area most of his life where he was a member of St. John`s Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Annandale American Legion Post #176, former church council member, and former city council member. Kenneth loved his family, enjoyed woodworking and carpentry.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Elma of Annandale; children, Carol Wahl of St. Cloud, Ron (Kris) of St. Paul, Becky (Sam) Sherstad of Garland, TX, Rick of Rochester, Pam (Jeff) Carter of Plymouth, and Noel (Sue) of Highland Village, TX; sisters, Doris Johnson of Annandale and Rosalie Kotila of Minneapolis; 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
